Spine Days

Two groundbreaking products, 24 instruments, and 28 interactive steps: Spine Days VR is an immersive guide to two lumbar spinal surgery procedures using ENNOVATE® and XP®, innovative solutions from B. Braun, a global leader in healthcare. Each instrument has been carefully rendered and programmed to ensure precise, natural interactions that follow the correct surgical sequence. Artistically, we created unique architectural environments, including Bone Land, a level where trainees can explore the bone marrow from the inside.

1

Precision and Realism in Training

Spine Days VR meticulously recreates 24 surgical instruments with accurate shapes and programmed interactions, ensuring a natural and precise procedural flow. This level of detail allows trainees to practice lumbar spinal surgery in a realistic environment, bridging the gap between theory and hands-on experience.

2

Learning Through Interactive Environments

The application enhances traditional training with detailed real-time animations that showcase the unique selling points of this technology, such as the interaction between the instrument’s specialized screw design and the texture and density of the bone marrow.

3

Bone Land

A special feature of the application is a level that represents the osseous tissue of the bone: Bone Land. Before entering the operating room to perform the implant surgery with XP®, the player changes to microscopic scale and travels through the bone structure. Bone Land is comprised of algorithmically generated 3D units.
